1st Sponsor Invite

Dear ___ (name of business owner if known) OR name of business,

We’d like to invite you to showcase your product and services at Engineers Without Borders’ first annual fundraiser, Clean Water for Kenya Jubilee, on February 29th at 7:00pm at the Emerson Cultural Center. This is an ideal opportunity to match your product with an organization that’s doing great work here in the Bozeman community and abroad in Kenya.

At the Jubilee, we’ll be holding a live and silent auction where we’ll auction off a series of themed baskets in addition to high profile items. All proceeds will go towards raising money to drill 2-3 wells at schools in western Kenya this summer. To date, we’ve drilled two wells in the Khwisero village and have provided over 1,000 school children with access to clean water. You may have attended “Africana” at the Emerson in November, where our project was highlighted in the documentary film, “The Water Carriers.”

We are excited about the opportunity to raise money for this important cause and invite you to feature your products and services in our auction. Business promotion opportunities at Engineers Without Borders’ Clean Water for Kenya Jubilee include:

• Promotion on display cards next to auction items. These cards will list your business as the item donor and will contain your logo, contact info and website address, and a summary of the products and/or services to be auctioned off.

• Exposure in the event’s program. All sponsors and auction items will be recognized in a program that will be handed out to Clean Water for Kenya Jubilee attendees.

• Business card exchange. We will attach your business card to all items that you donate.

• A special invite to the Jubilee. We would like to provide you with a free ticket to this event where you will be able to network with community members and showcase your product.

Engineers Without Borders at MSU is a 501(c)(3) organization and all items donated to the auction are tax-deductible. We are looking for a minimum product value of $25 and hope to collect all auction items within the next 2-3 weeks. Engineers Without Borders members JJ Lawson and Annie Hanson are coordinating the auction and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please call JJ at 599-1793 or Annie at (phone).

We would like to count on your support to make the Clean Water for Kenya Jubilee a great success! With your help, we will be able to continue our efforts to improve the lives of Kenya children and empower MSU students to go out and make a difference through this project.

Please bring this letter to the Jubilee and present it at the door for one free entry. We look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,

Engineers Without Borders at MSU
